Semax increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels. BDNF is among the most active neurotrophins, which are chemicals that help to stimulate and control neurogenesis, the birth of new neurons in the brain. 

BDNF has been shown to play a role in neuroplasticity, which allows nerve cells in the brain to compensate for injury and adapt to new situations or changes in the environment. Basically, BDNF helps to support the survival of existing neurons and encourages the growth, regeneration, and creation of new neurons and synapses. 

Semax also helps reduce the breakdown of enkephalins. Enkephalins are mainly involved in decreasing pain, reducing inflammation, preventing cancer cell growth, and increasing immune cell activity. They also play a role in memory, learning, emotional behavior, and pain. Balanced enkephalins levels are needed to maintain normal brain function. These early findings have led some researchers to suggest that Semax may have some potential as a pain reliever, although much more research would be needed to confirm these preliminary cell-based findings.

Based on what Semax can do for brain function and health, its capabilities as a treatment option are continually being developed.



In one clinical trial, 100 patients recovering from an ischemic stroke added Semax to their conventional recovery therapy. It was reported to accelerate the restoration of damaged brain functions — especially movement-related symptoms. In another trial of almost 200 people with reduced brain blood flow (“cerebrovascular insufficiency”), it was reported that Semax reduced overall brain damage and could potentially reduce the risk of additional future strokes. Semax was generally well-tolerated and caused relatively few side-effects.

Other studies focused on optic nerve disease reported that patients using Semax, when combined with other anti-inflammatory treatments, may have helped reduce the progression and severity of optic nerve disease.



Semax is a prescription from a compounding pharmacy. It comes in the form of a nasal spray which is administered daily. It is most often combined with another peptide called Selank for additive effects.

he peptide Selank has been labeled as an “anti-anxiety” peptide and has also shown improvement in learning, memory, cognition, depression, weakness and overall energy. 


While most prescription drugs cause many unwanted side effects, studies have shown this peptide to have no negative side-effects or risk of addiction. Both Tuftsin and Selank have shown the ability to reduce anxiety and increase serotonin levels in animal models.

Selank belongs to a class of molecules called synthetic peptides. Selank was made by combining the sequence of a peptide called tuftsin with another sequence that improves its molecular stability. Tuftsin is a peptide closely related to the immune function. It occurs naturally and makes up one part of the natural antibody IgG.

It is a small peptide compared to most naturally occurring proteins. It was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in cooperation with the V.V. Zakusov Research Institute of Pharmacology (Russian Academy of Medical Sciences), along with the nootropic drug Semax, sometimes called its cousin peptide. 

Selank has been approved in Russia for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and for its use as a nootropic. In clinical trials, the drug has shown to provide a sustained nootropic and anxiolytic effect which is useful for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).


Selank is a peptide used as a nasal spray. This is because it will be digested by the stomach if taken orally. Inhaling it is more effective for delivery to the bloodstream and into the brain.

The typical dosage is one spray in each nostril daily.


In clinical trials, the drug has shown to provide a sustained nootropic and anxiolytic effect which is useful for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).  Selank has an advantage over traditional anxiety treatments, such as benzodiazepines, as it has no sedating or negative cognitive side effects and no associated addiction or withdrawal problems.

Although limited, some of the above evidence suggests that Selank may potentially help curb anxiety and offer many other benefits. More research is always needed to monitor its effectiveness and safety. 


Dihexa (PNB-0408) powder is an Oligopeptide drug, probably even a hexanediol. An Oligopeptide sometime referred to as just a peptide, is a drug that contains dozens of amino acids. Typically, an Oligopeptide may conation anywhere between two to twenty amino acids. Dihexa may also be referred to as PNB – 0408. This was the code name used during the early stages of its development. Dihexa is designed to bind to HGF. Current research has shown that Dihexa may be used to significantly help with cognitive function. Tests done on animal models with Alzheimer’s-like mental impairments showed a lot of promise in using Dihexa as a possible treatment. Besides, the use of Dihexa is not harmful in any way. Most patients who participated in tests did not report any toxicity. Dihexa is largely considered a potent Nootropic drug. It was developed by researchers at Washington State University. At first, the drug was seen as a possible treatment option for trauma-based brain disorders. However, it has found additional applications in improving certain cognitive functions as well including neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s.

is a Human mitochondrial DNA upregulates the energy production of the cell via the electron transport chain (ETC) complexes. This allows the peptide to promote resistance of metabolic stress by upregulating the mitochondrial genome.. In addition, literature suggests that MOTS-c decreases insulin resistance and increases glucose  uptake in muscle. The peptide is mainly used for weight loss (regulating muscle and fat metabolism) and energy (cell survival in toxic conditions). MOTS-c is consistently used by sports performance athletes to enhance one’s performance. It also displays a promising effect in longevity. The Japanese long-lived people (population with the longest lifespan in the world) have demonstrated a phenotypic expression and biological link between MOTS-c and an extended lifespan.


Bremelanotide PT 141 The peptide Bremelanotide PT 141 is now used to treat sexual dysfunction in men and women. But it wasn’t originally intended for this purpose. In fact, this synthetic peptide blend was developed from Melanotan II, a hormone that can darken skin pigmentation and induce tanning.

  1. During initial tests, the discovery that Melanotan II caused sexual arousal and erections as side effects was accidental. These effects occurred in nine out of ten male volunteers in a study conducted at the University of Arizona by Dr. Hunter Wells. Additional research found the hormone acts on the nervous system rather than regulating arousal through the vascular system like medications such as Viagra and Cialis.

  2. How Does Bremelanotide PT 141 Work?

  3. Bremelanotide PT 141 is a non-selective agonist or chemical that binds to and activates a cellular receptor—in this case, the melanocortin receptors associated with pigmentation. Various forms were developed after the peptide was found to be useful in treating sexual disorders. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) halted early experiments because test subjects had experienced increases in blood pressure.

  4. In its most current form, Bremelanotide PT 141 is administered via a subcutaneous injection. The most suitable sites for injection are where there are fat deposits. Bremelanotide is, therefore, most often injected into the stomach region, lower abdomen, or thigh. The only legitimate form of the peptide is injectable. Pills, nasal sprays, and creams with the name are not legitimate and should not be administered as such.

  5. Effective dosages may vary as everyone responds differently to the substance. A 2-milligram dose is generally effective for men and women, about 1 hour prior to sexual activity. It’s not recommended to exceed this dosage in 72 hours, but experts suggest starting with a 1-milligram test dose and injecting a similar amount 30 minutes later; testing Bremelanotide in increments to gauge response is considered a safe approach. By consulting a physician or health care provider, you can receive a cycle protocol best suited for your condition.

  6. In tests, some subjects responded to PT 141 in minutes. For others with sexual dysfunction, it took several hours to see the effects. The peptide’s effects can last for up to 72 hours in some people.


  8. Cerebrolysin

  9. Cerebrolysin has been proven to have neurotrophic action similar to nerve growth factors causing peripheral and central neuronal stimulation. It improves efficiency within the brain’s aerobic metabolic processes and improves intracellular peptide synthesis. The neuroprotective properties of this nootropic agent help to shield neurons from lactocidosis, to prevent formation of free radicals and to decrease neurotoxic action of certain amino acids. Cerebrolysin is used as a neurotrophic agent for the treatment of ischemic stroke and Alzheimer’s Disease. Exploratory studies in patients with post-acute traumatic brain injury have shown that this treatment might help improve recovery. It now is used for pain syndromes like neuropathy, chronic back pain, sciatica and many others. 


  11. Epitalon

Epitalon this peptide truly takes back the aging clock and increases life span peptide by  increasing  telomere size. This pineal peptide increases the sensitivity of hypothalamus to its natural hormonal influences, normalize the function of the anterior pituitary, regulate the levels of gonadotropins and melatonin in the body. Epitalon increases a person’s resistance to emotional stress and also acts as an antioxidant. It is a bio-regulator for the endocrine system, especially for the pineal gland, and has been shown to lengthen telomeres in human cells. The mechanisms of Epitalon are a lot more complex than just activating telomerase. It reduces lipid oxidation and ROS, along with normalizing T cell function. It seems to
    normalize cholesterol and uric acid, along with prolactin levels. It has showed promise in restoring pancreatic hormone function. Additionally, it restored and normalized melatonin levels in older people who have lost some pineal function due to aging.

  15. this peptide can help stimulate natural testosterone production as well as help maintain optimum levels of testosterone if on topical or injectable therapy. Kisspeptins are a group of neuroendocrine peptides that stimulate the release of Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) and is involved the regulation of developmental sex hormones at the beginning stages of puberty. There have been problems in maturation centered around receptor mutations for kisspeptin. Kisspeptins have shown therapeutic benefits regarding the upregulation of the endogenous production of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicular Stimulating Hormone (FSH) through the HPA axis.
